Mission Statement ~ 
The mission of the Through Kyle’s Eyes Foundation is to create an organization devoted to finding a cure for Retinoblastoma by sharing Kyle’s story and inspiring others to do all they can to give back and possibly spare another child’s eyes or another child’s life.

Why did our family start this Foundation?
Jeff and I thought long and hard about starting a foundation in honor of Kyle. Although we knew it would take a great deal of work and determination, we believed the benefits would be so rewarding.  As parents we could not be more proud of Kyle for what he has went through and the facet that he still has such a positive outlook on life. Kyle believes the sky is the limit in life and he has inspired us to believe the sky is the limit with this foundation.

We are so blessed to still have Kyle in our lives... Had he been diagnosed years earlier, his outcome may not have been the same. We owe that in large part to the extensive research to create new treatment options.  That is were we want to continue to this fight and find a cure so no other child would be effected by this rare eye cancer.

Kyle and our family have really been blessed since his diagnosis. Not only is he living a full active life, we have also met some amazing people along the way. He has touched and inspired others in many ways and we hope he continues to do so throughout his life.

The biggest lesson Kyle has taught us is to live every day to the fullest. We also feel that when you leave this world it will no longer matter how rich you were, how much you owned, or any of the other materialistic items you possessed. What will matter is the impact you had on others in life and what mark you left on the world you leave behind. We hope to leave our mark by doing all we can to give back in the hopes of enriching the lives of others.

The Through Kyle's Eyes Foundation will work toward funding Retinoblastoma research by giving to the Eye Tumor Research program at Will’s Eye Institute in Philadelphia, PA and also contributing to the amazing research being performed by Retinoblastoma International.  However the Lograsso family does not want to stop there. We would eventually love to incorporate grants into the foundation. These grants would help families that have loved ones battling with cancer through some financial hardships. Even if you have terrific insurance, it is still very financially draining to have a child suffering from cancer.

The Through Kyle’s Eyes Foundation is just in the infant stages but we have high hopes and dreams for the future of this organization. Our family would like to thank you so very much for your continued support as we take on this new and exciting journey in life.
